We are genuinely passionate about our work and all the people affected by the services we support.
We turn financial information into strategic insight to empower organisations and individuals.
We add value to organisations and help them to achieve their long-term goals by enabling them to adjust their processes rather than making significant changes to their infrastructure.
Our unique approach to creating organisational change is based on 30 years’ experience in the financial and health and social care sector.
As the founding owner of Chequergate, I’m proud that our unique approach has helped to transform organisations. I was inspired to set up the company on the basis of 30 years’ finance experience, with 16 years specific to the disability sector within adult social care. Our wealth of experience and insightful approach to management and financial data has enabled many organisations to achieve significant progress by making manageable adjustments to their processes. As both my professional and my voluntary interests show, I am dedicated to making a difference to organisations and individuals. I combine a keen analytical eye with a straightforward approach to turn complex financial information into a valuable strategic advantage.
Our motto is “Thinking beyond the numbers”. We identify the insight hidden within complex financial and accounting data to enable organisations to review and adjust the way they work and maximise revenue and maintain long-term sustainability. We support organisations and professionals looking for an easier, affordable and more precise way to add value and enhance the way they work. We achieve this by integrating the financial and operational sides of the business and uncovering the clues hidden within complex management and financial information. Our strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse large data-sets and combine non-finance and finance data enables us to gain more valuable insight into the issues and processes within companies and how they can be enhanced. Although we work with numbers, we never lose sight of the human side of each client organisation and the fact that our contribution has an impact on people.
We work with organisations across many sectors, but our specialism is the disability sector within Health and Social Care. The body of knowledge gained over 30 years in the public sector gives us an invaluable understanding of the commissioning environment and current issues. We also have extensive knowledge of the framework agreements and contracts in place and the key areas to focus on to ensure compliance.
In the Community
I am as dedicated to empowering the community as I am to empowering organisations. As a great believer in putting something back into my local community, I’m passionate about the volunteering I do outside of work. I’m involved in several charities and roles around Lincoln, from which I gain a great deal of satisfaction.
I recently became a sponsor of the Teenage Market which encourages and supports young people to be entrepreneurial, enabling them to experience trading in their own marketplace. Through this, I have recently joined the Board of the Young Enterprize Council and will be running finance and business workshops with them in the near future.
I am a Director/Treasurer for Every-one charity, a charity which aims to empower people to be in control of their own health, well-being and social needs. I am also an FA Level 2 qualified coach and coach goalkeeping to a local football team once a week. I am proud of the skills and qualities I see the young people develop through working with them.
